Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates has over 30 years of experience in the industry and we continually research to ensure that we provide the highest quality materials for resin bound installations. We strongly believe that using the correct ratio of resin to aggregates is critical in achieving a lasting, durable surface.
We provide 2 sizes for DALTEX UVR resin and recommend the following mix designs (ie the amount of resin and aggregates to be used).
RECOMMENDED MIX DESIGN FOR Performance DALTEX UVR 7.5kg Resin
3 standard bags 2-5mm, 1 standard bag 1-3mm and 1 mini bag DALTEX Binding Quartz sand. This delivers % resin coverage of 7.1%. Coverage approximately 4.0m2 at 15mm and 3.55m2 at 18mm depth.
Disclaimer: All calculations are approximate and no liability can be accepted for shortfalls or surplus.
We recommend that the minimum depth for driveways is a depth of 15mm. For areas with heavy traffic, we recommend a depth of 18mm.
NB. Don't forget to allow for natural undulations. We recommend you over order by 5%-10% to allow for any variances.
Resin Bound Sledge by DALTEX
The DALTEX Resin Bound sledge is the perfect solution for improving the accuracy and speed of a Resin Bound install.
With a coverage width of 24 inches and a thickness gauge of 15mm to 45mm the DALTEX Resin Bound screed sledge accommodates all types of Resin Bound installations.
There is a multi-purpose shelf that allows for weights to be added should you require additional compaction (although the 27kg weight of the sledge provides suitable compaction when followed by the trowel hand). The shelf can also be used as storage for Resin Bound tools.
The DALTEX Resin Bound screed sledge is designed for the construction environment. With 3mm thick steel plates and welded joints, the DALTEX resin sledge is durable and built with strength in mind.
At DALTEX we have considered transit. We know how difficult it can be for installers and contractors to get tools in the van at the end of the working day, our Resin Bound sledge handle is detachable for easy stacking and a smaller footprint.
